This morning was a little too dramatic for my taste, to say the least!
I woke up at 6 a.m. like I usually do, laced up my running shoes and headed out the door with the intention of getting a good run in before my 8:30 class.
However, I didn’t get much further than a couple of blocks until I suddenly noticed a person laying in the middle of the road. As I get closer I see that it’s a middle-aged male soaked in bloody clothes and with a 2 ft pond of blood around his head. He is unconscious and shaking severely.
Then I see a man coming out of his pickup a little further down the street. At first glance I thought I’d just ran into a car accident. However, I soon got to know that the guy in the pickup knew just as little as me. He was on his way to work and just happened to see the guy laying in the road. We called an ambulance and, luckily, the man came out of his seizure and regained consciousness after a few minutes. He had no idea what had happened, but he thought he had been walking on the sidewalk, fainted and then landed with his face first.
I don’t know what happened after the paramedics took care of him, but I hope and pray it looked worse than it actually was and that he recovers fast!
Have a safe rest of your day everyone,
